Dear Dance Coordinators and Studio Managers,
VIR2OZ is proud to present the full details of our February 2026 dance competitions. As in our previous events, we place strong emphasis on professionalism, organization, and dynamic production. We aim to expose students to a professional environment, connect dance centers across the country, and encourage excellence with uncompromising standards, education, and love for the art of dance.

- Solo
- Duo
- Trio
- Quartet
- Mini group - 5-10 dancers
- Small group - 11-20 dancers
- Large group - 21+ dancers
Age divisions
- Junior 9-12
- Intermediate 13-14
- Senior 15-16
- Adult 17+
Dance styles
Classical BalletA classical variation from the well-known ballet repertoire. Must include classical ballet movements, steps, positions, and technique. Ages 9-12 without pointe shoes. Ages 13+ must use pointe shoes.
Modern/ContemporaryAn original creation or known repertoire from the contemporary dance world. Costume should match the piece. Bare feet/socks/ballet shoes.
Lyrical/Contemporary JazzStrong choreography identified with modern lyrical jazz: flexibility, expression, connection to music, and matching costume (shoes or barefoot - optional).
Musical/ShowdanceChoreography from the world of musicals. A theatrical dance with elements, drama, technique, and emotion.
Hip HopGroups only. Judged on choreography, musicality, formations, and costumes.
Key rules
- Solo, Duo, Trio, Quartet: up to 2.5 min. Judged per dancer performance. Separate judging per dance style. (Shared stage warm-up time will be allocated before the heat)
- Groups: Mini group (5-10), Small group (11-20), Large group (21+). Up to 4 min. Must be original choreography (not taken from known repertoire).
- No stage or lighting rehearsals for groups on competition day.
- Props: Allowed and encouraged if carried on/off by dancers and do not leave traces. No liquids/water/grains/powders/sand/confetti/glitter.
- Gala show: Wednesday 25/02/2026, 20:30-22:30. Selected winners will perform and prizes will be awarded.
- 4th place may receive a Judges' Mention. Heats with 10-15+ competitors may advance to a Top 5.
- The schedule is determined by the number of participants per category and age division (to be provided later).
Music
MP3 upload is done during the online registration process on contaste.pro - please upload an MP3 named with the solo title and the participant or studio name in English only, no later than 01/02/2026.
A USB backup is recommended on competition day.
Fees and registration
- Fee per participant in Solo, Duo, Trio, Quartet - 290 NIS
- Fee per participant in group (mini, small, large) - 180 NIS
- Registration and payment must be completed by 01/02/2026 to secure participation. Late payments will not be accepted
- Group payments must be made by the studio manager only. Add a product to the cart according to the number of group participants, or pay via PayBox. Individual group payments will not be accepted

Cancellation policy
- Until 07/02/2026 (inclusive) - full refund (submit a detailed cancellation email with the invoice by end of day)
- From 08/02/2026 until 19/02/2026 (inclusive) - 50% refund
- From 22/02/2026 - no refund
- In case of force majeure and cancellation by the production - payment will be refunded minus 25 NIS per participant
Tickets and audience
- The gala ticket link will be sent during the competition week
- Competition entry is free for the public
- Please note: travel to the venue is the studio's responsibility and should be considered in participant pricing
